Tour: Fly Necklace

New England sailors coming home from Asia often presented their loved ones with ivory gifts. Paymaster Samuel T. Browne returned to Rhode Island from Japan in 1867. He most likely used the piece as a watch chain and fob but a later owner turned it into a necklace.
