Suspended Architecture

Alexander “Xanti” Schawinsky (1904 – 1979) was a Swiss painter, photographer and theatre designer. An alumnus of the Bauhaus, Schawinsky belonged to a close-knit circle of family friends that included Marcel Breuer, Herbert Bayer, and Walter Gropius.
