Create: “Creation” Cuff

For his Creation cuff, artist Jason Brown, a member of the Penobscot Nation, combined copper and ash splints to depict the Wabanaki people’s origin tale about their cultural hero Gluskap. Striking a brown ash tree with his arrow, Gluskap split the tree open and the Wabanaki appeared.
