Celebrate: Cameo

For her 1871 wedding to Frank Mason Burrough, Elizabeth Fairbrother wore orange blossoms in her hair, sewn to her dress, and as earrings. A beautifully carved chalcedony cameo was part of her wedding jewelry, similar to one worn by Mrs. Thomas Lincoln Casey in her wedding portrait from 1865.
