Birthday Card: Werner Graeff, 1953

Werner Graeff (1901-1978) was a student at the Weimar Bauhaus, the youngest member of the De Stijl movement to Theo van Doesburg, co-editor of the German avant-garde magazine “G” and accompanied the early attempts of the absolute film in Germany. He was a member of the Deutscher Werkbund, a designer of vehicle bodies and inventor of photographic equipment (including one of the first miniature cameras), a teacher of photography at various art schools.
