Birthday Card: Carl and Mara Auböck, 1953

Carl Auböck, born in 1900 in Vienna, was a proponent of Austrian modernism. He was a student of Johannes Itten at the Bauhaus before returning home and taking over the family metal workshop in 1926. He produced a host of designs inspired by his time at the influential German design school.
