Bed Chamber The Sentinel—New England Shore

This is a copy of a large watercolor in Historic New England’s collections by the little-known New England artist Charles W. Hudson (1871-1943). Hudson trained at the Boston Art School and spent subsequent years painting the landscape of northern New England. With the looming tree looking out over a darkening shore, Hudson called this piece, appropriately enough, The Sentinel.
