Gropius House

According to Ati Gropius Johansen, “Miró was a favorite of my father. He had chosen Miró in 1950 to paint a mural in the dining room of the Harvard Graduate Center, a building he had designed. Nearly ten years later, Miró visited the Lincoln house and painted a watercolor portrait of my father in the guest book, which truly delighted my parents. To this day, three silk screens by Miró hang prominently in the front hall and guest room of the Lincoln house.”
